this photo by John FitzGerald

I was without an internet connection for a few days, and didn't get to take many photos, anyway, so I'm posting an old one I haven't posted before.

Sami Serola (inactive), tiabunna, aNNa schramm, and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

A touch of mystery. From the thumbnail, I expected the Casbah.

It's part of fascinating St. Clair Avenue West, Bob, the finest street in the world, in my part of Toronto anyway

I hadn't thought of that, Steve, but it's definitely there. Thanks.

Odd..............but in an interesting way! The shadows look vaguely humanoid to me.

My internet connection went down a while ago. Unable to get online I found I had to speak to my family. They seem like nice people.............

I was going to post this with "Silhoettes on the Shade" as a musical link, Keith, so it seems great minds do think alike.

I communicate with the family by text, so no problem there.

I like shadows because they're ephemeral, aNNa, and consequently perfect for photography. This is the window of a store, so these shadows could have changed a moment later.

Fascinating - a good mix of minimalism and mystery.

Thanks, George. I don;t think I was going for mystery here, but it's always good if it turns out mysterious.

Thanks, Jose. As I mentioned to George, I like that characteristic in photos. Maybe I should have added ambiguity to mystery as a desirable quality of photos, too.
