This was taken during the partial eclipse of the sun in August, hence the shadows were very long.

Es grünt am Grün :)) Things are turning green on the green :)) Tout devient vert sur vert :))

The green crab spider (*Diaea dorsata*) was very well camouflaged on the leaf. Its cephalothorax and legs are a striking light green, providing perfect camouflage against the foliage. The abdomen features a distinctive reddish-brown pattern on its upper side. As with all crab spiders, the first two pairs of legs are noticeably longer and more robust, enabling the spider's characteristic crab-like posture and movement. Females reach a size of about 5 to 7 mm, while males remain somewhat smaller at 3 to 4 mm. The green crab spider does not spin a web to catch prey; instead, it lies in wait—well-camouflaged—on vegetation and leaves. As soon as insects (such as flies or small beetles) come within range, it seizes them lightning-fast with its elongated front legs and delivers a venomous bite. The green crab spider is completely harmless to humans.

Château de Boutemont (Boutemont Castle) is dating back to the 11th century, when it was built as a military fort during the Norman invasion of England. Over the centuries, the estate passed through the hands of several noble families. The castle as it stands today dates from the 16th century. Since 1927, it has been listed as a Historic Monument.
The castle is surrounded by beautiful themed gardens: Italian Garden, White Garden, Zen Garden, Ginkgo Garden and the Purple Garden.
