Man muss auch mal über den Tellerrand rausblicken können :)) You have to be able to think outside the box sometimes, too :)) Il faut aussi savoir sortir des sentiers battus parfois :))

Wenn ich so Schnecken entdecke,fällt mein Blick immer auf diese Fühler mit den Augen, was in den Nahaufnahmen immer schön und spannend rüberkommt :)) Pip1-5: Nahaufnahmen der Fühler mit den Augen Whenever I spot snails like this, my eyes are always drawn to those eye-bearing tentacles—something that always looks beautiful and fascinating in close-ups :)) Pip1-5: Close-ups of the eye-bearing tentacle Quand je vois des escargots comme ceux-ci, mon regard est toujours attiré par leurs antennes, qui sont toujours magnifiques et fascinantes en gros plan :)) Pip1-5 : Gros plans des antennes avec les yeux

France: Le Bec-Hellouin, Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec

Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec (Abbey of Our Lady of Bec, also called Bec Abbey) is a Benedictine monastic foundation. The construction of the abbey started in 1034 by a man called Hellouin and continued through 1035. In the 12th century it was the most influential abbey of Anglo-Norman kingdom. Bec Abbey was damaged during the Wars of Religion and left a ruin in the French Revolution but the 15th-century Tour Saint-Nicolas from the medieval monastery is still standing. In 1948 the abbey was re-established as the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec by a community of Benedictine monks of the Olivetan Congregation, who effected some restorations. Abbaye Notre-Dame du Bec is the property of the French State, but there are still monks living in the abbey.

France - Évreux, Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Évreux

Cathédrale Notre-Dame d'Évreux (Cathedral of Our Lady of Évreux) is an impressive church combining all the main trends of religious architecture. Built in the 10th century, the nave has kept the semi-circular arcades from the Romanesque period while the upper parts were rebuilt in the 13th century in the Gothic style with the transept and the choir. Évreux Cathedral is crowned by three distinctive towers. The north tower houses the cathedral's five bells. The south tower, originally topped with an octagonal wooden spire, was not rebuilt after being destroyed in a fire in 1940. The most prominent feature, however, is the central lantern tower, known as the silver bell tower due to its shimmering appearance. The cathedral has 70 stained-glass windows considered as masterpieces of French 13th to 16th century stained-glass art and the 13 radiating chapels enclosed with wood fences sculpted between the 15th and the 18th centuries, which are among the most beautiful ones in France.

A Touch of Ireland ☘️

☘️ Gestern beim Wollfestival erstanden: 95 % Schurwolle Merino, 5 % Leinen · 400 g · 70 Euro :-) So Quiet In Here · Van Morrison ☆☆☆

White Lily, Blue Silence

Waterlily at the New York Botanical Garden (Bronx, New York)—October 3, 2026 A solitary white waterlily rests upon an expanse of deep blue, its luminous petals rising just above the surface while its reflection extends into the water below. The restrained composition isolates the bloom from the surrounding pond, transforming a botanical subject into an image of stillness and contemplation. Behind it, an unopened waterlily bud introduces a quiet sense of time and transition. One flower is fully revealed. The other still awaits its moment in the sun even as the days grow shorter.
