Hallo Uwe, für 2 € darf man dort hoch. Wir hatten Besuch, da haben wir das mal gemacht - sonst hätte ich gerne auf besseres Wetter (also: besseres Licht) gewartet ...

... and I wonder what the statues if they could speak would say of the
surroundings now ... much has changed maybe with the modern
architecture ... always I think this when I see statues like this ;-)
well taken and the weather sometimes if dull and clouds makes
for a good picture ... not too much glare ... I like your image
very much oOo

Thank you very much again, oOo! As a matter of fact this is a quite new building from 2006 - this is when the fassade of the historic castle has been reconstructed. But most of the buildings we see in this picture date back from the 1950s and 60s. At that time, reconstruction of office buildings, warehouses and above all appartments was needed and not much consideration about archtecture ... It is sad today, but also understandable considering the necessities after the war.

it reminded me in part of Coventry after the war and the rebuilding
and the precinct area the first of its kind in the UK ... faceless and
they thought it was modern and fine ... but it has not stood the test
of time ... I love old architecture and its charm and character ... ;-)
