Palatka sailor memorial statue (#0429)

One of the four statues depicted as memorializing war veterans at Memorial Bridge, the actual American Doughboy statue can be barely seen on the far side of the road.

The statues were placed on the bridge in 1927 -- this is unlike any statue of a sailor that I’ve seen from that era.
