Palatka American Doughboy (#0428)
Placard describing the four statues of military figures on each corner of the Palatka Memorial Bridge as American Doughboy statues. The placard, which includes interesting pictures and quotes from when the first version of the bridge was dedicated in 1927, appears to be possibly inaccurate. Per the Wikipedia article (link below), there was only one American Doughboy statue, which is the one in the smaller picture on the placard. The Doughboy statue was mass produced and at one time there were copies at memorials across the country; the other military figures at this bridge (adjacent photos) may have been created by the same artist or by other artists.
