Former town hall for East Las Vegas, NM, built between 1892 and 1896, served as Town Hall and Fire Department, extended and changed in purpose at a later date. See: www.loc.gov/item/nm0122
Note the “East Las Vegas” in the above. For many years there was the ‘city’ of Las Vegas on the west side of the Gallinas River and the ‘town’ of Las Vegas on the east. They merged at some point (could not find year), but they still remain culturally fairly different with two relatively distinct downtowns.
