CA-180 Kings Canyon (#0675)
CA-180, descending into Kings Canyon of the South Fork of the Kings River showing some of the regrowth, and damage, from the Rough Fire of the previous August.
The cloud cover is what was described to me as upslope fog which occurs frequently in the Spring and sits between about the 4000 and 6000 foot elevations. The fog made for some wonderful contrasts while exploring Kings Canyon, which is below the fog. The rest of the park, however, was not worth visiting since those roads are in the middle of the fog belt. (Location on map is a rough approximate)
