First really visible snow on the mountains, on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Indications from other parts of the state are that we're finally going to have good snowfall this year.

Definitely not a resort day down here in the valley, overcast and high was 60, in the low 40's tonight.

So far, the El Nino event seems to be setting up to be more beneficial than destructive (aside from Death Valley.) Here's hoping that holds.

So far, it's followed the typical El Nino pattern for us, though it's been a little wetter here than I'd have expected. Temperatures have been very mild. This has Chicago people celebrating in the streets, but I expect if this holds once winter starts, the lake will start falling fast.
