SF Maritime Natl Hist Balclutha (1455)

Not terribly legible due to poor lighting (this is over-exposed), a sign describing the life of sailors on the Balclutha including routine actions that we would now label murder and torture. The poster describes the efforts at unionization for protection of sailors.The top picture, visible in larger versions of the photo, shows how very tight the quarters were on such ships.
