Trona Railway (0619)

Trona Railway train passing through Searles Valley Mineral facility and heading south towards its junction with the Union Pacific. The Trona Railway was established in 1913 and has run continuously since; it has apparently always been owned by the dominant mining company in Trona. It has only 30 miles of track to a junction with the Union Pacific. It once operated passenger service, though that ended in 1937. (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trona_Railway.)
