You already live in such a place. If I lived in Chicago I'd go crazy just trying to figure out the history of the el, and then all the neighborhoods.

Eh, that stuff's easy. There's an encyclopedia, and what that doesn't cover, there are hot dog stands where I "know a guy." But there's no way of ever knowing how that baby doll wound up leaning against a cartoon Treasure Island.

I'll admit that's why I shot it. When you look at the desolation and deterioration around the area, it makes you wonder how such composition happens. Was someone trying to remember their childhood? Were they thinking of their own children in a nearby, ramshackle trailer?
