Dawson City, Yukon 549a1

Yukon River at Dawson City. In the winter the river freezes over and crossing is by ice bridge. During the summer a ferry is used to cross the river. The ferry simply pulls up to shore, there is no formal ferry landing. One reason for the lack of a ferry landing is that the pressure of the ice flows during the spring thaw would tear it up.
