Looking back towards the Castro with the following developments in view: 1600 Market (in black), 8 Octavia (the first crane), 1844 Market (next in black), 1960 Market (black and crane), and then across the street from 1960 Market, 2001 Market in black. This photo is part of an effort to document the tremendously high level of residential construction occurring in San Francisco. The project documented in this photo is one of 11 large-scale housing developments that are being built in a 10 block area that stretches for about a mile from the Castro neighborhood towards downtown.
