Sign indicating the somewhat preserved and accessible portion of the old Ridge Route near Gorman, Ca. The Ridge Route was an early (1915) version of what eventually became CA-99 and then I-5. The section from here, near Gorman, is driveable (very slowly) for several miles.

I'm so used to seeing bullet holes that I don't notice them in pics, will pay attention now. Will have some stuff for your South Dakota groups in a couple of months. The groups I started on here are slow to get going also, I think that's because the people who moved over from Flickr are still getting settled in (I know that's the case for me).
