The museum specializes in Diesel engines, too. Dunno if it's still the case, but they used to offer a "drive a Diesel locomotive" package for a hundred bucks or so. You got to handle the throttle going down the track! Of course, the speed was highly limited, and the (real) engineer was right there to make sure you didn't do anything stupid. We did this for my dad for his birthday in the late 90s sometime--'96 I think.
