Five-string banjo bridge. This was a demonstration designed to show that a lot of these pictures are best made, as this one does, using nothing more complicated than a flat-bed scanner.

Love the choice of subject, photographed with exquisite detail. When I lived in Athens, many years ago, a banjo player taught me fiddle tunes--good memories stimulated by your fine photo.

Thanks very much, Bob. The banjo/fiddle/guitar connection is still very much alive hereabouts. A couple years ago I photographed a bluegrass reunion which might conceivably include some people you know. Pictures from it are in my album "Feature: Bluegrass reunion."
