Friday 26 July 2024 (1037) – Norwich Castle forms the background to First Eastern Counties Buses 36581 (BK73 AKV), a Wrightbus Streetdeck Electroliner delivered in February 2024. Snapped from on board a Sanders Coaches double decker (PC23 SAN). Monday 12 August 2024 (1050) – Mulleys Motorways AP12 BUS, an s MCV Evolution bodied Volvo B7RLE, seen at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St. Edmunds when working Town Service M22. It had been new to Pulham and Sons (Coaches) Limited of Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire in March 2012. Mulleys and Stephensons both operate town services serving the hospital, both running hourly, although nowadays it is the out of town bus services provided by Coach Services Limited (84/86) and Stephensons (15X/16) that provide the most frequent options between Bury St. Edmunds town centre and the hospital.

Sunday 11 August 2024 – The Big Bus Show, Stonham Barns, Suffolk Preserved former H C Chambers and Son of Bures, Suffolk G864 XDX, an Alexander bodied Leyland Olympian new to Chambers in November 1989. I believe it was working the shuttle service to Stowmarket railway station.

Friday 1 October 2021 (1203) – Two buses in King Street, Mildenhall both unfortunately running nearly 20 minutes late having been caught up in the tailbacks created by motorists queueing to panic buy fuel at the Jet filling station in North Terrace. A shortage of fuel tanker delivery drivers nationally resulted in a shortage of fuel at filling stations with panic buying only exacerbating the situation. Mulleys Motorways YN54 AHE, a Scania N94UD OmniCity new to Nottingham City Transport as their 211 in September 2004, seen arriving back on service 358 from West Row. (Due in at 1145). Stephensons of Essex 643 (YN55 NKE), an East Lancs Omnidekka bodied Scania N94UD that had been new to London Sovereign as their SLE36 in October 2005, was working the 1110 service 16 from Newmarket to Bury St. Edmunds. Saturday 25 May 2019 (0853) – Stagecoach North West 47334 (PX06 FYE), an Optare Solo new July 2006, and Preston Bus 40622 (PF13 XAC), a Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B5LH new in April 2013, seen leaving Preston bus station. Preston’s iconic bus station opened in October 1969 and a leaflet published by Ribble Motor Services for the opening said it was the largest bus station in Britain. The ground level passenger concourse is topped by a multi-storey car park with each deck featuring upturned fluted curves giving the building a most original look. In 2000 the City Council was planning its demolition to create a new city centre development but objections were raised to that plan and the campaigners successfully managed to obtain Grade II listing thus ensuring the building’s future.

Monday 9 August 1993 – H S Neave and Sons Limited of Catfield, Norfolk VBH 605S seen travelling along St. Stephen’s Street in Norwich in the pouring rain when working their service to Wroxham and Stalham. It is a Duple Dominant bodied Bedford YMT that had been new to Tricentrol of Dunstable in April 1978 although had been bought from fellow Norfolk operator Smith’s of Blofield in 1988. In the background is Eastern Counties Omnibus Company VR308 (PRC 854X), an Eastern Coachworks bodied Bristol VR.

Sunday 22 March 1992 – Bee Line Buzz Company was owned by Drawlane and had a yard in Miall Street, Rochdale although this view of the rear side of the property was the taken in Hare Street. All these buses are Park Royal bodied Leyland Atlanteans. Left to right: 723 (NRN 387P) had been new to Ribble Motor Services as their 1387 in February 1976. It passed to the North Western Road Car Company when the Merseyside operations of Ribble were separated in readiness for privatisation. Livery is that of North Western. 726 (UPK 125S) had been new to London Country in March 1978 as their AN 125. Bee Line fleet livery. ??? (UPK 137S) had been new to London Country in April 1978 as their AN 137. London Country livery. 683 (OCO 109S) had been new to Plymouth City Transport in January 1978 as their 109. Bee Line fleet livery.
