16/17 August 2023 – The Dolomites mountain range is found in the north eastern corner of Italy in the South Tirol region close to the border with Austria. The main spoken languages in the area are Italian and German together with Ladin.

Bus services in the region are operated by contractors working for ‘sta’ – the authority which organises the transport network and has a name in the three languages südtirolmobil; alto adige mobilità; and südtirolmubiltà. Buildings and vehicles carry the three names with a partial ‘M’ logo.

The town of Dobbiaco/Toblach (Dobbiaco in the Italian language/Toblach in German) is about 13km/8 miles from the border with Austria.

This ‘sta’ liveried Mercedes-Benz Intouro, possibly operated by Cortina Express based in Cortina Anpezzo, was seen from the Hotel RosenGarten in Dobbiaco/Toblach.
