Arriva the Shires R206 GMJ at Haldens, Welwyn Garden City - 14 Feb 2005

Monday 14 February 2005 – On 23 January 2005 Blazefield sold its Sovereign Bus and Coach services in the Welwyn Garden City area to Arriva the Shires which included town service 403 running between Great Gannett and Haldens. Sovereign regularly used two Dennis Dart/Plaxton Pointer MPD buses (their 579 and 581) but these were transferred to fellow Blazefield subsidiary Keighley and District in Yorkshire. Arriva 3206 (R206 GMJ), a Plaxton Pointer bodied Dennis Dart SLF new in December 1997, had just arrived opposite Haldens shops. The driver had set the destination blind ready for the return journey.
