Ribble service 278 timetable from 30 Sep 1957

There was also a service up to Holcombe Village which, until the late 1960s, was largely covered by Ribble on their Walshaw-Tottington-Holcombe Brook-Holcombe Village service 278. The Ribble timetable stated ‘Jointly with Bury Corporation and Ramsbottom UDC between Holcombe Brook and Holcombe Village’. The Ribble timetable ten years later (commencing 1 November 1967 - see next frame) showed only school journeys between Holcombe Brook and Holcombe Village and it was around this time that Ramsbottom UDC acquired an Albion Nimbus to provide the daytime service up to Holcombe Village.
