256/02 Premier Travel Services KVE 907P at Newton - Sat 13 July 1985 (Ref 22-30)

Saturday 13 July 1985 - Premier Travel Services 256 (KVE 907P), a Plaxton Supreme bodied AEC Reliance, seen at Newton ready to work a bingo contract to Newmarket at 1815. The return journey was assigned to another driver so I was able to return empty from Newmarket to Cambridge for a finish at 2015. I had started at 0700 driving this coach empty from Cambridge to Luton to work a feeder service from there to Huntingdon connecting with the Cambridge-Skegness service 3. Leaving Luton at 0840 the feeder travelled via Bedford (0915), where it also became a feeder to the Yorks Coaches vehicle working the joint Premier Travel/Yorks Northampton-Hunstanton-Cromer service 40. Today passenger bookings were such to warrant the coach working through as a duplicate as far as Hunstanton but not being required as a return duplicate I returned empty to Cambridge for this bingo run.
