Les traces de la succession des d’étapes de construction sont encore visibles sur ses murs et s’étalent de l’Antiquité jusqu’à la fin du Moyen-Age, lors de la visite on peut donc vivre un saut vertigineux de 2500 ans d'Histoire. ...mais le cheval ne voit que les vertes pâturages pour brouter ;-) Il s'agit de la cour intérieure de Puivert, ancien château-fort cathare du XIIe siècle dont la surface est grande (3200 m2). VIEW OF THE CORBIERES... but the horse only sees the green pastures to graze on;-) This is the inner courtyard of Puivert, a former Cathar fortified castle from the 12th century with a large surface area (3200 m2). Jh. mit einer grossen Fläche (3200 m2).

Overlooking the river Vienne, the Royal Fortress of Chinon (hometown of Rabelais) was built by Thibaut I, Count of Blois and serves as a reminder of the period when the history of France and that of England were intimately linked. In 1429, in the grand lodge room, the historic meeting took place between Joan of Arc and the future king Charles VII

The Château d'Azay-le-Rideau was built between 1518 and 1527 on an island in the Indre River. It seems to rise straight out of the waters, which reflect the castle's façades so that the château appears to float in its own image. A subtle blend of French tradition and innovative Italian decor, it is an icon of the new art of building in the Loire Valley in the 16th C. Its successive owners have helped to make it the most architecturally harmonious treasure in the Loire Valley.

Le monument de Pennsylvanie à Varennes-en-Argonne Avec l'inscription en français et en anglais : "L'état de Pennsylvanie a érigé ce monument en mémoire de ses fils qui combattirent dans l'armée américaine pour le triomphe du droit et en pieux hommage à ceux qui donnèrent leur vie pour la libération de Varennes - 1927"
