Tor View (4 PiPs) HFF!

Tor View (4 PiPs) HFF!
Captured at Cedar Avenue Butleigh, Somerset on a wet and dreary October day. The grazing sheep seem oblivious to the weather. I liked the colours in the trees and the leaves scattered across the fields. On the right in the distance is Glastonbury Tor.

The images in the PiPs are also from Cedar Avenue. I liked the dramatic look of the dead cedar and the way it seemed to echo the dreariness of the day

Thank you very much Herb. Yes and we have just a few flakes of the white stuff drifting around lazily this morning. I though we were in for more but it stopped almost before it started, luckily!
Five minutes later it was sunny, if cold.

Thank you very much Edna. I am pleased you liked the pics. The drama I was happy with and the light before the storm added to it...and then it poured with rain, which was not so good. We headed for the shelter of the car! No more photos that day!!

The tree isn't getting out anytime soon, whatever it has done!!! I think it is more for protection than punishment though!!!

-)))) Well I guess the young trees are valuable especially as so many of the cedar trees have died! I guess they have a little protection from the elements and maybe the animals too.

Thank you very much * ઇઉ *. Sadly many of the cedar trees are dead or dying. New planting will hopefully ensure that there will always be cedars in Cedar Avenue.
