Monte papavero - Mohnberg

Dieses Foto entstand am Rand eines Steinbruchs, wo der im Moment sehr stark nachgefragte Quader-Kalkstein abgebaut wird. Auf dem Abraum, der am Rand abgelegt wurde, hat sich im Lauf der Jahre eine ganz starke Klatschmohn-Population entwickelt. Ein Glück für die Insekten und eine Augenweide für uns Menschen.

This photo was taken at the edge of a quarry where ashlar limestone, which is in great demand at the moment, is being quarried. Over the years, a very dense population of corn poppies has developed on the overburden deposited at the edge. A delight for the insects and a feast for the eyes for us humans.
