Like I said there were a lot of them about, but only one van as far as I can remember!

And finally for the moment, here's another shot of these two lovely cars, but this time from the rear.

I think this shot of L402 GDC and H884 AAG parked up together is one of my favourite photos from the day.

Parked up alongside L402 GDC was this equally tidy model from 1991.

For a small show there sure were an awful lot of Minis on display, not that I was complaining especially when they were as tidy as this one.

Thought it about time that I stopped playing with orbs and got another automotive album started, this time for a fairly small show local to me which I attended back in the summer of 2013. The Hurworth Classic Car Show was organised in partnership with the Teesside Yesteryear Motor Club . There weren't all that many VWs there, but this gorgeous old camper would still have caught my eye had there been hundreds of them in attendance.

Golden Balls ...

No, nothing to do with David Beckham, just me messing again with orbs and the possibilities they offer. Unlike some of my others, this is a 'proper' bona fide orb created using the recognised stages although it has been processed and placed over a new background I created to complement the colours of the orb. The original image was my "Bullets Of Gold" shot from which I took a square crop to 'orbify' ... there's a copy of it in the Notes.

Taking 'A' Break ...

Once again this was taken, but never used for The Sunday Challenge when the theme was middle of the day . This is the last letter on the sign above the entrance to a local coffee shop, namely Costa which is located behind the High Street in Northallerton.

Yet another of the shots not used for The Sunday Challenge when the theme was middle of the day .

One of several shots I took around lunchtime, but never used, for The Sunday Challenge when the theme was middle of the day . This is a section of the roof on the Halfords store in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, which I thought was rather appealing against the cloudless sky. www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UWRypqz5-o

1963 Morris Oxford - 819 NOD

The Morris Oxford VI was produced from 1961 through until 1971 and over 208,000 of them were manufactured. This particular one was spotted in September, 2014 parked up in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. Sadly, I only had time to take a couple of snaps before it drove off, which was a shame as it looked in fabulous condition.

Girls Will Be Girls ...

I had so much fun with this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of selective colouring , that I ended up with several possibles and here's the last of the ones that nearly made it. This was a candid I took at a car show and is probably one of my favourites. Not only because of the girl's beautiful smile, but because of how I came to get the shot in the first place. I'd been taking photographs of some Opel Manta cars on what I assume was a club stand when I noticed this pretty girl using the mirror of her car to check her look and apply some hairspray. I thought it would be a great candid, but either I was too slow or she was to quick in realising what I was up to. So I missed the shot I was actually after, but ended up with this, which as I say is one of my favourite candids.

Climbing The Walls ...

I had so much fun with this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of selective colouring , that I ended up with several possibles. Here's another of those that didn't get used and, once again, featuring Mr Smiley. He sure does like to go climbing. First, it was the tree in our front garden and now here he is climbing up the back wall of our house!

Leaving The Castle ...

I had so much fun with this week's Sunday Challenge , which had the theme of selective colouring , that I ended up with several possibles. Here's another of those that didn't get used. This one is a shot I took of my Mk2 Scirocco after attending a show at Raby Castle, County Durham. The selective colouring here is very subtle so you might need to look for it ... the building in the background was on the outer edge of the castle grounds so I'm guessing it's some kind of old gatehouse.
