A special house:
The House of the Dead on the Great St. Bernard

Most visitors pass this house carelessly. It is an inconspicuous building. The former entrance at the front is walled up. It is the House of the Dead, where people who died in snowstorms or avalanches were buried as they were found, standing in their clothes, mummified in the cold, dry air. In 1476 the house of the dead was built, the entrance was walled up around 1950.
