HFF, now we can move a little more, which should simulate the so-called Roman bridge which connects the two villages Rorbas and Freienstein.
Before 1806 there was a big footbridge over the Töss at the place of the Töss bridge. It was severely damaged by a flood in 1551. It was completely destroyed around 1799 during a military conflict between the Austrians and the French. Between 1806 and 1808 the new Töss bridge was built. Its building material, tufa stone, comes largely from the Freienstein ruins. Renovation took place in 1961 and 1994. Today it is under the protection of the federal government.
