Borgo storico di Anghiari Via Lorenzo Taglieschi The historic centre of Anghiari dates back to the 11th century. The narrow streets and charm of the grey stone houses have been preserved to this day. The Clock Tower is visible in the background

Since the 12th century this site was occupied by a chapel dedicated to St.Anthony the Abbot, and then in the 15th century by a bigger church. The buildings that we see now were put together and extended in the second half of the 15th century when the tower apse that is incorporated into the town walls was built. The church's interior is decorated in the baroque style ans holds noteworthy frescos dating back to the early 15th century.

The Palazzo Pretorio or Palazzo del Vicario was built in the 14th century. It is currently used as the municipal seat and several museums. Palazzo Pretorio housed the town's Court for many centuries and the prison cells can still be seen on the ground floor

The Badia di San Bartolomeo (also known as the Badia church) is located in Piazzetta della Badia in Anghiari. The building was built by Camaldolese monks in 1104

The church was build in the 18th Century following a disign by Giovanni Battista Bellini. Inside the church several 15th and 16th century artworks can be seen, such as, "Madonna of Mercy" by Della Robbia, the "Last Supper" and the "Washing of the Feet" by Sogliani and the "Deposition" by Puligo.
