Southern Uplands!

Southern Uplands!
The scenery of the Southern Uplands really is underrated, The Durisdeer Hills and Lowther hills which converge at the Dalveen pass and valleys off of the pass, as pictured above are able to offer many spectacular scenes.
Dalveen Pass is the most southerly and the longest pass within the Hills, It is the only pass enlarged by ice into a U-shaped glacial trough, hence the road has to climb up the steep side to gain the head.

This was captured at Upper Dalveen, Dumfries and Galloway. (55.34380, -3.73578)

HFF and a nice weekend to all, A large view if you have the time!

Lovely..the Scottish countryside is so gently rolling and soft…compared to our sharp, often unvegetated, harsh landscapes. I love the compo of this, Rog
