Biene im Sturzflug, kurz vor der Landung, mit Vollbremsung...

Die Berg-Flockenblume (Cyanus montanus) ist in den Gebirgen Mittel- und Südeuropas in Höhenlagen von 500 bis 2200 Metern anzutreffen. Sie findet sich sehr selten in Norddeutschland und Ostbayern, im übrigen Deutschland ist sie mäßig bis weit verbreitet. In den Allgäuer Alpen steigt sie am Südfuß des Widdersteins im Kleinen Walsertal bis zu einer Höhenlage von 2100 Meter auf. In Österreich ist die Berg-Flockenblume häufig in der obermontanen bis subalpinen Höhenstufe in den Bundesländern Oberösterreich, Niederösterreich, Steiermark, Kärnten, Salzburg, Tirol und Vorarlberg.

What a gorgeous presentation! I love your bee pictures very much but my overwhelming favorite is the picture you took of the knapweed by itself. It is a HEART-STOPPER of a masterpiece, worthy of a place in any gallery or museum. The details, the softness, the magic and beauty of that picture is just gobsmacking!! :D AMAZING! :)

Thanks too, for the information. This flower looks kind of like bachelor's buttons but the petals are so much more feathery. I am totally enchanted.
