The interplay of shadows here creates some truly fascinating structures. Personally, I find the overall sharpness a bit strong for my taste, though that might be influenced by my fondness for analogue photography, where I tend to appreciate a slightly softer, less 'perfectly painted' look. Of course, this is just my personal preference, and I can see how the crispness adds a unique character to the image.

I think you are right- this was an old jpg made with a not very good lens and I ran it through Lightroom using standard settings for RAW resulting in oversharpening...
