A beautiful little collection Gudrun...........I really like the colourful wooden houses and the gorgeous blue skies. The detail you've captured in each shot is excellent.

I'm particularly impressed with the Musk Ox skull, its horns look amazing. I've seen video's of them fighting and I know the skulls are very solid..!!

Thank you so much, Keith! They are so huge, it's hard to believe they are related to goats! I've seen quite a few skulls displayed alongside reindeer antlers- both animals are hunted for their meat.

How funny it was to scroll down looking at those charming houses...then...a decomposed musk ox head! I'd love to visit Greenland, the Inuit-influenced society interests me.

Gudrun club has replied to Diane Putnam
Thanks a lot, Diane! The Inuit are starting to get more rebellous and independent- the Danish have destroyed a lot of their culture in the name of doing good.

I love these colourful buildings with the deep blue sky as a backdrop. Beautiful images Gudrun.
I have been reading through your comments here and I hadn't really thought about the necessity of using whatever can be caught for food. When I stop to think about it is pretty obvious that so much would have to be imported so thank you for the information

Gudrun club has replied to Ecobird club
Thanks a lot, Carol! Traditionally the Inuit are hunters- whale, seal, fish, musk ox, reindeer. There are some berries in late summer (crowberry and the like), but that's about it. Vitamins in winter came from eating raw liver...
