One from the recent archives, I couldn't do much this week due to summer flu. I will slowly catch up in the next days....

The port City of Hamburg has nearly 2500 bridges, many more than Venice (ca. 400).
The ones in the photo are in Speicherstadt ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speicherstadt ) with its old warehouses that stand on timber pile foundations. Speicherstadt and the inner city of Hamburg are criss-crossed by so called Fleets (tidal canals), hence the vast number of bridges.

Thanks a lot, Amelia! Even I find something new every time:-) You should plan for a longer visit next time to take in the sights! For the meeting they usually try to find something new for those who have seen it all;-)

We have that (stag parties) in Algarve too, they often end breaking things, disturbing locals all night long shouting drunk on the streets...
