Unterfeuer Blankenese

Was bitte bedeutet 'Unter'Feuer... ?

Das es kein Oberfeuer ist !

Das Unterfeuer benötigt die Schifffahrt um auf dem richtigen Kurs im Fahrwasser zu sein. Hierzu gíbt es noch ein Oberfeuer. Bei einer Deckung beider Feuer, von der Schiffbrücke aus gesehen, befindet man sich im richtigen und sicheren Fahrwasser. An der Elbe sind viele dieser "Richtfeuer". Das war die Kurzfassung ... Super, danke! Ich habe mir zwar mal auf einer Reise einen Vortrag über Navigation angehört, aber zu viel wieder vergessen- ich fand's kompliziert mit den ganzen Leuchtfeuern und was die Farben und Blinkzeichen bedeuten;-)

Very nicely composed with a lovely leading line from the walkway. I love the bright red and white colours and the shape of the lighthouse. It doesn't look like it's made of steel until you look at the closer image in the PiP.

The sky is beautiful in both images. Two great shots Gudrun..........and a fascinating link.
