Thank you, Herb! Schimmel was a traditional piano German firm in Braunschweig. Sadly they went bankrupt and are now 90% Chinese owned.

Ich denke, dass in der heutigen Zeit weder Ebenholz noch Elfenbein zu Klaviertasten verarbeitet wird. Bei meinem Klavier (gekauft 1971) jedenfalls nicht. Von alten Klavieren und Flügeln kenne ich die Maserung und Vergilbung der weißen Tasten. Seit meiner jüngsten Kindheit haben mich Klaviertasten angezogen. Mit drei Jahren bekam ich einen Klavierdeckel auf die Finger, weil ich meinte, seine Tasten "bedienen" zu müssen ;-))).
Die Schärfentiefe hast du prima hingekriegt, Gudrun!
