A very colourful sunrise near Harstad. The old saying came true, the clouds crept in and the wind freshened up.

Morgenrot schlecht Wetter droht- das stimmte in diesem Fall. Nach dem sehr farbigen Morgenrot zog es sich zu und ein stürmischer Wind kam auf.

The saying is very similar in English, except it's the'Shepherd's warning'. I love those shafts of light coming in from the rtight across the water.

Thanks a lot, Amelia! I looked up the wiki article and they had both sailor and shepherd- I thought the sailor more apt in this case;-)

We have severe frost but no snow and clear blue skies at the moment! Snow is predicted as it gets warmer in the next days.

Thanks very much, Adele! The days are shorter, but the sunrises and sunsets last so much longer than further south! The good thing about winter is that most precipitation comes down as snow which is much nicer than rain;-)
