This piece began as a Pattern Overlay called "Satin" turned up almost to maximum size. Then the other elements were pasted over or under it. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3620 X 4905 pixels. See one original source here .

I used the Eraser tool with settings for various brushes to try and get the decollage effect. The "painted" layer is from an old refrigerator leaflet. It has some of the "Sumi-E" filter and a few others which I don't normally use. I "peeled" portions of it back with the eraser-brush hybrids to reveal the layer below. Interesting to do. The rough for this was very somber, full of dark purple and stark white and frowning mouths. This background began as a simple Color Halftone filter. It gradually evolved into this candy-ish look which might suggest "Birthday Cake frosting" if you live in the U.S. For those elsewhere, that would just be a white icing with colored sprinkles mixed into it.
