Still running two years behind schedule. Lol. I turned 58 today. I began this series in 2018, but lost a couple of years along the way. Even I wasn't sure that I knew why it became a series in the first place, until I remembered an obscure superhero comic from the late 1980s. A villain crashes a hero's birthday party, offers his arch foe a box of candy, and proclaims that the universe will end when the last candy is gone. Suddenly it's the Parade Of Tall Rectangles all the time. But it's also my first visit to this series since 2019!! Also, I'm breaking in new bifocals at last. Which may or may not make a difference. I was thinking about falling cherry blooms, even though they don't really fall in the forest. The leafy lines make me think of caladiums, which I wish I could grow here. Too bad it's not warm enough for that. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 2828 X 4405 pixels.

This piece began as a Pattern Overlay called "Satin" turned up almost to maximum size. Then the other elements were pasted over or under it. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3620 X 4905 pixels. See one original source here .

I used the Eraser tool with settings for various brushes to try and get the decollage effect. The "painted" layer is from an old refrigerator leaflet. It has some of the "Sumi-E" filter and a few others which I don't normally use. I "peeled" portions of it back with the eraser-brush hybrids to reveal the layer below. Interesting to do.
