As the clock runs down the last few minutes of Black History Month, here's my small hat tip to one of my all-time favorite Jazz flautists: the one and only James W. Newton (b.1953). His verse from the 1990 disc If Love : "...Life holds the key To a room full of windows That reveals the space Of time Between the last soul’s breath And death I wish that I could take Your place in line Last dream When we turn around and find Today at Midnight." The Greek Hellenistic statue is "Old Market Woman" from 11th Century, B.C. (I flipped her around, though.) From a MacMillan Art History book published in 1937. The painting is Henri Matisse's "Brook With Aloes" (1907), photographed in (or around) 1954. Shown smaller than the original completed size of 3600 X 6000 pixels.

We're back! Wooooo!!! Shown smaller than the original completed size of 5000 X 5000 pixels. A Montgomery Ward catalog from 1943 provided both the humans and the leaf print. It was an incredible, but unwieldy, junk shop find several years ago.
