The chapel of Agios Vasileios is located in the center of Kalo Chorio. The construction of which is estimated back to the middle of the 18th century. This church appears to have been built in two phases, the first phase saw the completion of the main church and the second phase the completion of the women’s annex. At the beginning of the 21st century the church was repaired and maintained. During the works the women’s annex was removed.

The church belongs to Stavrovouni Monastery, the oldest monastery in Cyprus. Legend has it that it was founded by Saint Helena on her return from the Holy Land. Women are not allowed to enter the monastery itself, but they are permitted to enter this church. However, it was locked.
