Lacapelle-Marival - La Halle

Lacapelle-Marival - La Halle
Lacapelle-Marival is a small town with a population of about 1300.

First mentioned in the 10th century, Lacapelle came into the possession of the Cardaillac family in the mid-11th century. However, during the Hundred Years' War (1337–1453), this family was unable to prevent the town from being plundered at times.

Later the conflicts between Catholics and Protestants, the religious schism divided the Cardaillac family itself. Thus, after the Edict of Nantes, Lacapelle served as a refuge for Catholics and the town of Cardaillac for Protestants.

The elongated market hall from the 16th century still has its original roof structure.
