DH9 [listed as Airco DH.9 - but post-1920 it was known as the de Havilland DH.9 ]
WW1 era bomber, beginning service with the RFC in November 1917 - initially, engine performance was unsatisfactory. Over 4,000 built and retired in 1937. Redesigned with a new & better engine in 1918 as the DH.9A.
