Rabbit in the Kop
Rabbit in the 'kop', Liverpool's famous home stand.
The kop used to accomodate over 20,000 fans standing - all crammed in, swaying and surging, shouting and singing. Very atmospheric but also dangerous. After a series of tragic incidents in football stadia in the 70s, 80s and 90s, stadia were made all seating.
Apparently, on the day that Liverpool played their last match before the kop converted to seating, fans brought hammers, chisels and other tools with them into the stand. Throughout the match, in between cheering and chanting, they hacked away at the concrete, railings, steps and even the toilets, in order to take home a piece of the historic stand!
Although Rabbit appreciates the tradition and mythology of the kop, he's glad it's so much safer now.

Another autumn bridge!

Yet another 'Rabbit on a little bridge in Autumn' shot, I'm afraid. Do you think these metal railings constitute a fence? If so, HFF!

Rabbit goes shopping

It's such fun shopping in Turkey! So much to look at and think about. Rabbit bought bananas, carrots (of course), Turkish delight, halva, a pashmina for his photographer, and pistachios.
Promenading and fishing in Izmir - HFF!
A couple out for a stroll along the 'kordon', the seafront in Izmir. Behind them is the Alsancak ferry terminal, a group of local fisherman, and in the far distance, some of the Izmir suburbs climbing up the hills which surround the bay, including at least one mosque. You can also see several Turkish flags and images of Ataturk, as you can all over this part of Turkey.
HFF!
