Garden flowers 1

I can never resist taking a photo when I see a poppy seedpod. I think this one almost looks as if it has a hairy Tarantula lying on top of it. Taken in the most wonderful homestead garden east of Nanton, Alberta.

What we can miss if we don't stop and examine things closely. I love the pattern I discovered deep inside a garden poppy.

I love seeing ferns, though I wish they didn't grow and multiply in my tiny garden!

Saw this beautiful lily in the garden of The Deane House. Now THAT I wouldn't mind in my own garden!

I needed a bright, warm, cheery splash of colour after looking at the next two pictures. These flowers were in a garden at Canmore, near Banff, a couple of years ago.

I think this is a Dahlia or a "Mum", which shows how much I know about garden flowers! Whatever it is, I think it's beautiful.
