Garden flowers 1
Garden flowers - as opposed to wildflowers, but (apart from a handful) these photos were not taken in MY garden.

Mallow
I was fascinated by the centres of these flowers, which I think are Mallow. I posted a closer photo of a similar flower a while ago and the centre was different - more of a spiral. I have just noticed that the flower behind, in the lower right hand corner has the different centre.

Iris 1
After a long walk in snow yesterday, the situation was desperate enough again to have to call in at Safeway and treat myself to some garden colour!

Iris 2
Just having a bit of fun with a small bunch of Irises that I bought today, to add some colour to my snowy world.

Iris 3
Another photo taken from a small bunch of flowers that I bought at Safeway a few days ago. Will need to enjoy these flowers tomorrow, as the rain that we had today will be turning to snow overnight! In fact, there was a snowfall warning for the city.

Deep glow
This was a result of another bout of desperation, which ended in a trip to Safeway a few days ago to treat myself to something BRIGHT!

Rounded
One of the tulips I bought recently to brighten things up after too many dull, grey winter days!

My first Snowdrop in 25 years
Saw my first Snowdrops in about 25 years this morning! Was out on a walk at the Reader Rock Garden, and the only plants in bloom were these Snowdrops and also a few clumps of bright blue Hepatica. Wildlife included a (mating) pair of Merlin and a Coyote.

Echinacea
Thought these dried Echinacea flower heads, seen at the Reader Rock Garden this morning, were quite attractive.
