"Blue Umbrella"
I don't know where I have been to have missed out on Steve Goodman's brilliant version of John Prine's classic “Blue Umbrella”. But now, I can listen every day :-)

Just give me one good reason
And I promise I won't ask you any more
Just give me one extra season
So I can figure out the other four

Tragically, Steve never got that one extra season.........succumbing to cancer in 1984 at only 36 years old. R.I.P. Steve.

The 'umbrella' .......maybe it's a parasol :-) .......in my shot was red but it is not red any longer :-)

Lovely shot Roger - makes me want to know where these guys are going all dressed up in the middle of the day. Nice idea changing the colour of the parasol. Absolutely love the track - both the song and Steve Goodman are new to me I must admit.

So pleased to have introduced you to this track......I keep on playing it :-) I think these guys and gal could have been celebrating finishing their exams or maybe celebrating end of term. Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if they were on the way to the pub or they may have just left the King's Arms that is fairly close by :-)
