Fortunata Tedesco by Mayer & Pierson
Fortunata Tedesco (1826-1875); Italian contralto who created the role of Théodora in Halevy's "Le juif errant" (1852). She sang at the première of Mercadante's "Pelagio" (1857) and she also created the role of Venus in the revised version of Tannhäuser at the Paris première on 13-3-1861 together with Albert Niemann as Tannhäuser and Marie Sasse as Elisabeth.
