Winter has finally arrived here. We had snow the last three nights, though only a few inches each time. The temperature is cold enough that the snow has not melted and so it is a white world here.

Once again, a delightful and intimate inspection of the natural beauties, that we know less and less how to observe, except through the subjective eye of the media.
One marvels at such an aesthetic presentation, which has as much to do with the object as with the observer.

We usually have quite a bit of frost, ice, hoarfrost here, but this winter has been so unusual that I really haven't felt the desire to get our with my camera. Hasn't been much to photograph.

We leave Monday morning for two weeks in the Utah parks, Goblin Valley, Blue Valley, Arches and Canyonlands which we want to see in winter. Then on to Death Valley for a week.

I hope you have a great time there and wish you a lot of fun and a safe return home.
