Cashew is a basket case

Cashew is a basket case
Cashew is actually curled up in sieve ready to put to sea

They went to sea in a Sieve, they did,
In a Sieve they went to sea:
In spite of all their friends could say,
On a winter’s morn, on a stormy day,
In a Sieve they went to sea!
And when the Sieve turned round and round,
And every one cried, ‘You’ll all be drowned!’
They called aloud, ‘Our Sieve ain’t big,
But we don’t care a button! we don’t care a fig!
In a Sieve we’ll go to sea!’
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.

Hi dear Sarah, Cashew is a gal not that one could possibly tell from the photo and don't worry, she had the sense to get out long before any floods arrived. Prrr ~~~ Hugs ~ Nick

We haven't seen Cashew for a long time. He looks perfectly content in the greenhouse.

She often visits the greenhouse for a long snooze dearest LGM. This is the first time that I've seen her curled up in a sieve, usually it is in a planting tray with dry dusty earth

Cashew was nuts when a kitten ~ hence the name. No one has successfully put to sea in sieve, the Owl and the Pussycat did it better in a beautiful pea green boat ~~~~

Cashew is our much loved cat Dany and yes, that really is a sieve, we use it when preparing the potting compost for seedlings, to make it all fine grained enough
