Thank you Rosa,

This was a 'Thomas' themed weekend, but since I was in the area, and had never been before, I thought it worth a visit. I am sure many grandparents would have loved to have taken their young grandchildren there!!

Hello Peter, This is an awesome shot of the "Thomas" themed weekend! You captured this view perfectly for sure. LOVE how you framed it from back beneath the tree limbs, the POV really highlights the train on the Viaduct....great job with this one Peter. love it. Sarah

Hi Sarah,

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I am glad you noticed the tree! I figured that without something extra the picture would have been a bit ordinary, so I sat under the big tree in the shade, and waited!

The dingle added a lot to the composition as well as providing you with shade, Peter!
Fine shot.

Hi Steve

Thank you so much! I thought it would be worth a look, a location for the future...
I didn't see the Fat Controller though, perhaps he was too busy eating his breakfasts, or maybe he is visiting a brother in North Korea somewhere.

My Dear Füsun,

Thank you so much for your very kind words here. As you know I had gone looking to make a nice picture of the viaduct, perhaps a place to return to when steam engines are running...
It was also a nice empty field, with a big tree to sit under!
Love Peter

Oh, you did find her! This is wonderful. I'll have to share this link with my son. He'll really like it. There's nothing like those sweet childhood memories. I've saved all his trains for when he has his own child. :)

Thank you!

Hi Karen

Thank you so much for your very thoughtful comment! I must now have a look through the archives to find Thomas.. I know he is here somewhere!!
I too have a whole collection of model trains which I have saved. Maybe one day another special young child will come into this world and enjoy them.........

Best Wishes
Peter

Thank you, Peter!

There's just something magical about trains and I don't even know why I love them. I was never on one until I was in my 30s but I've had such a fondness for them all my life. :)
